Renaissance Radio - Ethics Statement

Renaissance Radio is an extension of The Renaissance Agency. The Renaissance Agency is a collection of talent focus on problem solving and all things creative. So we make our living partnering with companies to tell their story. Which that in mind, “Sponsored” content is infrequent on our channel. Suppose we choose to work with a company on this platform. In that case, it will always be because we actually use the product or service ourselves and genuinely trust the company to provide excellent customer service and support. More importantly, We will always make it abundantly clear that such content has a sponsor.

Most of the equipment and products we use and review have been purchased by us, but sometimes we will rent or borrow equipment for an episode. Occasionally companies will send a product to us for free, and we will always clearly state in the Podcast and description that the sponsor provided it to us at no cost.

Offering free products in no way guarantees a positive review (or even a review/video at all). Just like with sponsorships, We’re incredibly selective about accepting anything for free.

Your sponsorship or gifted product is simply a statement that you believe

that your product will hold up to an honest review.

We are optimistic and excited by nature. The formula for a products value to us is simple:

“does it do what We need it to do?” and “Does it do what it claims to do?”

All that in mind, there are a few additional points We’d like to make just for the sake of clarity. We’ve made all of this info publicly available to viewers and companies alike so that we’re all on the same page:

  • Our content is our own. We create and produce each Podcast based on what We’re excited about and what I think will be relevant/helpful to our audience at the time.

  • Our reviews are always objective, and our opinions are still our own.

  • We do not submit previews of videos to anyone for approval or revisions. No exceptions.

  • We have full control over our content calendar. While We’re happy to work collaboratively when possible for scheduling, no outside party can pay or otherwise influence us in return for scheduling priority.

  • Just because you gift a product to us(thank you!) does not mean we will review it or feature it on our channels.

  • We never work with Amazon sellers– only directly with trusted companies.

  • We will gladly privately review “preproduction” versions of products/software. But will not publicly promote anything but the customer ready version.

  • We appreciate when companies offer information about their products/services, but we will only include what we think is relevant and necessary.

  • We will seek answers for anything about a product/service that We don’t fully understand.

  • While it usually makes sense to include certain links in video descriptions or social media posts, we retain full control over what we post and share on our accounts across all platforms.

  • We’re more than happy to let others share my videos, as long as the post links directly to the original video uploaded to our channels.

  • We do not guarantee any number of views or any amount of audience engagement on any videos. While we want every video to do well, there are too many variables beyond our control to make any claims regarding potential viewership.
